EDGI UK is proud to be part of an international collaboration with other EDGI projects around the world. Together, we hope to have 40,000 participants take part in the world’s largest eating disorders genetics project!

If you live in any of the countries below, you can sign up to take part in eating disorder research. Please note, you must live in the country where you are taking part (i.e. you can only take part in EDGI USA if you live in the USA.)

Am I Eligible?

To take part in the Eating Disorders Genetics Initiative, part of the NIHR BioResource, you must:

  • Have experienced, or have been diagnosed with an eating disorder
  • Be aged 16 and above
  • Live in England

Developed in collaboration with Beat, the UK’s eating disorder charity, and with patients and service users.

If you are younger than 16 and interested in taking part, please contact the EDGI UK team at edgi@kcl.ac.uk.

You can withdraw from the study at any time.

  • Reading the Information Sheet
  • Providing consent
  • Completing our questionnaire
  • Providing a saliva sample
